 Title:

The title itself should include three things

  • A benefit
  • The number of items
  • A short timeframe

Simply state the benefit that someone will get out of reading your post. If possible start your title off with the number, then demonstrate a specific time frame that shows how actionable your content is. Examples:

  • 10 Things You Can Do Today to Change Your Procrastination Forever
  • 15 Quick Actions You Can Do Today That Can Change Your Financial Life Forever

Introduction:

This should include two things

  • An introduction to the problem the reader has
  • The benefit they’ll get from reading your post

Quickly present the problem that the items on your list will help them solve.  Example:

  • I think you’ll agree with me when I say: It’s REALLY hard to not procrastinate.

Then swiftly introduce the benefit that your content will help them achieve. Example:

  • Well, while it's not as easy as we wish it could be, you can still break the habits and slowly stop it once and for all.

Keep in mind to really emphasize that your content will help solve the reader’s problem. The more clear that is, the more likely they are to read on.

Subheadings:

Each of your subheadings should contain two things

  • An overview of what that tip is
  • A clear benefit

When people see items that will help them achieve what their searching for they’re more likely to share it. Example:

  • Burn Fat With a Protein-Rich Breakfast.
  • Save $100/Month on Car Insurance With One Phone Call

NOT

  • Eat Protein at Breakfast
  • Save Money on Car Insurance

Keep in mind to always start off with your best tip. This will hook people for the rest of the post.

Action Items:

Outline the steps someone will need to complete each item on the list. Include photos, screenshots, real-life examples or even video tutorials. The more visuals you include, the easier it will be for your reader to follow the steps.

Conclusion:

The conclusions should do one thing:

  • Push people to take action.
Whether it's to leave a comment, express their thoughts in the group, shop on the website make sure to creatively write it in a away that is uplifting and will help push them to follow through.
